About Power Efficiency Corporation
Power Efficiency develops and markets energy efficiency technologies for electric motors. Electric motors consume approximately 2/3 of the electricity used in manufacturing. But many motors operate inefficiently. Power Efficiency’s technology attacks this wasted energy, with typical energy savings of 15-40% in appropriate applications.
Patented Technology
Power Efficiency’s technology reduces the amount of electricity used by a lightly loaded motor operating at constant speed. Based on technology originally licensed from NASA, Power Efficiency has developed critical patented and patent-pending improvements to NASA’s technology.
Products and Applications
Power Efficiency has historically sold a motor efficiency controller primarily for escalator and granulator applications. The company is developing two new products for commercial release in 2007.
1. Digital Industrial Product – For motors powering grinders, granulators, mixers, conveyors, crushers, saws,
stamping presses, escalators, elevators, and many other commercial and industrial applications.
2. Appliance Product – Potential applications include refrigeration and air conditioning, clothes dryers,
heat pumps, and shop tools.
Sales and Marketing
Power Efficiency Corporation sells its products primarily through independent sales reps and original equipment manufacturers, and plans to explore licensing relationships for its new technologies. Current OEMs include leading escalator and plastic granulator manufacturers.
Independent Board of Directors
Over half of Power Efficiency’s directors are independent directors. These directors include present and former deans of leading academic institutions and highly accomplished business people.
Management Investment
Management is the largest investor and shareholder in the company. Our interests are aligned with shareholders.
